I go on many ARTventures, and like making videos about them…

This Is a zany story about my trip to Portugal and Teesha Moore’s workshop:

I’m asked about art supplies in my travel kit quite often:

My trip to Seattle for the Play retreat and what I created:

My entry in one of the 1000 Journals:

These are the some weird tricks to try with your alcohol markers – push them a little and they offer up some extraordinary results!

………………………….
Letraset sent me a set of AquaMarkers to play with. …me likeee!

They make watercolour a little more controllable and are a fun option for more experienced watercolourists, an ideal introduction for beginners and a fabulous bridge for those more used to markers – like me! I love then because they mix with each other and are great for travel. They are at their BEST (in my opinion) on gesso – they loooooove gesso. I find they can rub ‘raw’ paper surfaces into  little balls – but on gesso and matte paint – WOW! Love…!

So a great big smackeroonie to Letraset for 1. creating such awesome tools and 2. for sending them my way!

I now carry them in my store,  Set 2 of the 12 Marker set (has the most skintones!).

I like working outside in summer. I go for a walk and then sit and do some sketching, writing, thinking, dreaming as Angus surfs…Byron Bay bliss…

Making my Mermalicious display box….

This is a little movie i made for the Institute of Cute, to show how you can use cute scrapbook paper to make a notebook/journal. (The little boy at.020 is hilarious! You can hear him squealing with delight from the bubbles all through the vid!) :

If you have a username at You Tube, then you can subscribe to any You Tube Channel! Heck, you already have your own YouTube channel! You can customise it and add your favourite vids.

You can also subscribe to favourite Youtube authors, and YouTube send a neat little email each week to notify you if they have added a new vid – cool huh?

“This video has content from EMI and Ingroove records. 1 of whom have blocked it in your country on copyright grounds.”

    Thanks for the inspiration.

    • Hi Winnie, thanks for visiting! there are two Versions of that video, one should play for you. Most record companies are happy to have their music promoted on my videos and have an iTunes button right there under the video, so you can buy it ( I have made lots of money for them! ).But Ill go and change the music on that video!

  7. Ooh, that was quick. I tried both versions in your youTube site. They both display the same restrictions. :( Thanks for answering my query and addressing the problem. I’m so waiting for it with excited anticipation. Happiness!

  11. Grace says:

Hi I recently brought some aqua markers and I was wondering if you add any water to them when you use them ie, using a wet brush. Also do you need to work on special watercolour paper?

    • Hi Grace, I usually apply the markers, and then blend with a wet brush.
I LOVE them on gesso…. And smooth watercolour paper. Just experiment and find what you like… They are lots of fun!!

I have more videos on them in my ‘Supplies Me Workshop( see link in the sidebar) xoxox Jane
